From November 23 to 24, the "Zhongcheng Qingtai Cup" Shandong Province College Student Mock Court Competition was held at the Shandong Provincial High Court. The competition was exclusively sponsored by Zhongcheng Qingtai, organized by the Shandong Law Society's Legal Education Research Association, and hosted by Shandong Jianzhu University.
From November 23 to 24, the "Zhongcheng Qingtai Cup" Shandong Province College Student Mock Court Competition was held at the Shandong Provincial High Court. The competition was exclusively sponsored by Zhongcheng Qingtai, organized by the Shandong Law Society's Legal Education Research Association, and hosted by Shandong Jianzhu University.
A total of 25 judicial industry professionals from the Shandong Provincial High People's Court, Shandong Provincial People's Procuratorate, Jinan Intermediate People's Court, Lixia District People's Court of Jinan, Licheng District People's Court, and law firms such as Zhongcheng Qingtai served as judges. A total of 261 outstanding law students and their instructors from various universities in Shandong Province participated in the competition. Senior partner Li Jian, partner Zhang Kai, and lawyer Zhu Jipeng from Zhongcheng Qingtai's Jinan office served as judges for this competition.
The "Zhongcheng Qingtai Cup" Shandong Province College Student Mock Court Competition is held annually, and Zhongcheng Qingtai has sponsored it for ten consecutive years. The aim is to provide a platform for young students to showcase themselves and guide everyone to start from problems, continuously exploring how to use legal thinking to solve social practice issues, and improve the comprehensive practical abilities of law students. It helps law students apply their theoretical knowledge in practice and enhance their practical skills.
This competition featured a total of 29 teams, each consisting of 7 students and 2 instructors. The cases used during the competition were processed and written based on real cases referenced by the president unit of the Shandong Law Society. The preliminary round on the first day adopted a small round-robin format, where each participating team had to conduct court trials with the teams numbered immediately before and after them, resulting in two rounds of trials; on the second day, several individual and team awards were selected through the quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals.
On the competition stage, the contestants from the 29 representative teams engaged in fierce battles, using incisive arguments, sharp and wise rhetoric, and flexible offensive and defensive techniques to fully showcase their talents and express their viewpoints. They exuded confidence, had clear thinking, expressed themselves rigorously, and provided strong arguments, demonstrating the professional demeanor of law students in the attacks and defenses of the court trials, making the mock court more realistic.
After intense competition in the preliminary rounds, 8 teams have emerged and will advance to tomorrow's semi-finals and finals. Let us look forward to their wonderful performances!
